The Legend of the Goat
The Great Race
According to Chinese legend, the Jade Emperor organized a race to determine the order of the zodiac animals. The Goat, along with the Monkey and the Rooster, worked together to cross the river during the race.
The Goat discovered a raft, and together with the Monkey who cleared the path and the Rooster who guided them, they crossed the river. Upon reaching the shore, the Goat, being the most polite, let the others go ahead, resulting in the Goat finishing eighth in the race, after the Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, and Horse.
