The Great Race
According to Chinese legend, the Jade Emperor organized a race to determine the order of the zodiac animals. The Horse, being one of the fastest animals, was confident in its ability to win the race.

This caused the Horse to jump back, allowing the Snake to cross the finish line first. As a result, the Horse finished seventh, right after the Snake.
